{2015}Review of Stuttgart Blackforest Boutique S-Cafe 's Blackforest Cake!

here i am writing this post in 8am class cos i am itching to write this for a period of time already.

Do note that my friend bought this for me as a treat. So we went to get this together. However, service was quite bad in my opinion as they took 30minutes to pack the cake although there was no one else. Also they guy at the cake counter was not very fluent in English. His halting English confused me abit. The ambience of the restaurant was really cozy and nice though.. The interior design was very unique.

Notice the biscuit base. The cake at the top was rather moist but nothing special. Also the layer between the biscuit base and the cake is the layer of cherries soaked in rum. They are rather heavy handed with it and i feel that the taste of the whole cake is overwhelmed by how strong the alcohol is. The cake is nice on the whole however i would prefer Bakerzin's version of it as the version here has too much rum that it ruins the original flavour of the cake. Also the chocolate part of the cake is not as impressive as i expected. I miss my favourite chocolate cake from Jane's Cake Station (URGH GIVE ME THAT CAKE ANYTIME.)

 

 

Also i feel this cake is really overpriced. Its $12/ a slice and i think this is not worth it at all. Probably most of the costs go to the rum. Cough cough.. xx
