{2015}Review of The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam + Food to Try Nearby!

hello loveliesss
i have been away so long due to some family stuff but i am back! I just came back from Bangkok so i will be posting adventures and things i did....

The timeline:)

DAY1- Arrival + BBQ PLAZA @ Central World
DAY2- Morning Market outside Indra Regent + MBk + siam Square + Big C  Supercentre
DAY3- Morning Market outside Indra Regent + Platinum Mall
DAY4 - Erawan Shrine + Chatuchak Market + Leave

so lets start from the hotel:)

The Berkeley Hotel Platinum( my 2016 update here)

Start with breakfast:) the hotel is really high class and nice:) food was okay. however it tends to be overcrowded and food runs out pretty quickly. They try to refill as soon as possible but that would be a point that they need to look into.

their grilled cheese sandwich had a weird oil aftertaste and the desserts are really good though. Other than that on the second day they didn't have noodles and only had rice which was :/ for me. Their noodle soup cant be compared to the one opposite the hotel. Also their bale fruit drink was really weird. But overall the food can be rated as average.

 Exterior..

Reception

We had connecting rooms so :) the rooms are really nice and i stayed in the main tower which is worth investing in i believe cos if u stay at the north tower u need to transfer at the 10th floor everyday and i think that is really tiresome and a waste of time.
We stayed on the 28 floor which is pretty awesome too.. Hotel location was pretty good although its quite a walk to Central World and Big C Supercentre when your feet is tired.... ahhha but otherwise it is okay.

Plus, their staff are very friendly and i clearly remember the girl at the check in counter greeting us brightly. Their service is top notch in my opinion. However their housekeeping needs to improved. I called for extra shower caps and i had to call twice. Umm?
But its not that big of a deal that would make me think twice before returning in the future.
Their concierge are very knowledgeable and gave us many directions.

They recommended us to go try the chicken rice and wanton mee opp the hotel! (review here http://comeontheroadwithme.blogspot.sg/2015/02/2015-wanton-mee-chicken-rice-in-bkk.html) They also helped us check if Chinatown was open ( as it was CNY). Tip: Chinatown is closed for 3 days from day 1 -3 of CNY).
They also gave us good tips like how to get to Chatuchak without the jams. Thumbs up! I would definitely return again!

THIS PAD THAI IS THE BOMB. it may look scary but this is the bomb urghhhh.. It is located opposite the D pallidium, diagonally across the hotel... DO try it!

this mango sticky rice too:)) MUST TRY

Kuay Teow Soup, cant compare to the one at MBK but yes this is good

*drooling

this is the night market right outside the hotel and it is worth checking out as the prices are relatively low. Will talk more about shopping when i am not so tired( work agh in the next posts hehh)
this is the bbq pork... i chose this stall as it is the only one yes but i find that he is relatively hygenic:)

TO DIE FORR . i like this mooping better than the one at chatuchak (20baht) as this one (10 baht) has less fat but my mum prefers the one at chatuchak so er... personal preferences yes?
this is the banana and choco pancake seller.. i bought this twice cos its too awesome. this guy is quite hygienic too , he is usually either beside the bbq pork stall right outside the main entrance of D pallidium mall or opp the bbq pork. This costs 40 baht( inflation yes,,, many years ago it used to cost 30baht)

will update more as soon as possible as i have work tomorrow morning yes;)
and one more thing:) pls leave a comment thanks:) i would love to see comments:) and do check out my other posts and wait patiently for more BKK posts!also sorry for the blurry pictures as i brought this lumix camera to try but it failed me so badly omg:( i had to switch back to my old trusty sony. Yup... Notice the difference in quality of pictures?
please look out for more yes?:) also if you wanna ask me anything, please feel free!
