{miika's trip to Malaysia} Review of Jeju Korean Restaurant @ Aeon Bukit Indah

Image
Dear lovelies, I am back with a post! My dad was really keen to check out this Korean restaurant cos when we passed by the stretch during the Labour day holidays ( i know its a long time ago lol) there was a long queue to enter this restaurant. Really quiet on a Monday evening Amazing 15 set banchan. Some were good but some were really weird ( like the  tea leaf eggs??) Charcoal Grill Pancake that was like 80%flour. The egg was only on the surface.. Not really edible in my opinion. Pork shoulder. We had chicken bulgogi too but i didn't get a picture of that. The pork here is definitely frozen and super thick and tough. The chicken bulgogi was better marinated but it was so chunky that it was burning before it was cooked. Kimchi jiggae.  Very flavourful but it seemed more like tom yam soup than kimchi. Overall, don't scrimp on the money and go to Bornga at City Square for the real deal. The prices at Bornga may be pricier t

{2015}Review of Tae Woo Korean Restaurant~

hello lovelies, Today i am going to review Tae Woo Korean Restaurant which my mum heard good reviews from her colleague who tried it out~ I know i have not been updating regularly cos i have another writer's block and am currently going through a hard time in my life.(sighs) Anyway to cut the unnecessary talk short. Banchan~ Kimchi here can only be refilled thrice. Its super refreshing and packs a kick with its spice. Very authentic.    Jajangmyeon. Well the iconic noodles that have you drooling while you watch your favourite K- variety show. This is defeintely not the type you see on screen. This is legit homestyle black bean noodles that are not salty or oily. Rather, the black bean paste here is sweet and savory and somewhat justifies its price(nope, i cant believe something costs $5-6 would cost $18 here) Not saying its not worthy of its price but its really the closest thing you would get other than buying that ticket to Seoul. {miika's trip to Malaysia} Sutera Mall's Coffee Valley + Ice Cream Rolls!

hello lovelies, Today i am going to review my recent trip to JB. Normally, the usual stops are KSL,City Square and Bukit Indah. My mum recently found out about this Sutera Mall from her colleague who said that many Singaporeans are shying away from the usual hangouts in search of other places. We visited on a quiet Monday before my school holidays ended( sad, that was the only day i took a day off during the entire 7 weeks:<) and the mall was pratically empty. My mum went to have a haircut at RCS( which has branches everywhere) and service was top notch that day. They didn't say much and didn't keep hard selling products. Super attentive service and i guess that was because undivided attention could be spent on you if the mall is empty. After that we went to have lunch at Coffee Valley which was really hard to locate. I suggest you look for Tony Moly at L2 first at Lot 642/643/644 and walk straight down when you see a sign showing the shops that are located outside. R
