{2016} Review of Spicy Thai Thai Restaurant @ Payar Lebar / Aljunied

Hey lovelies,

As you probably can feel already, I was pretty not motivated since my blocks and been inactive ever since but im back before January ends with a review thats long overdue.

One day, when my mum was searching up things to go try out near her then-office at Payar Lebar, she stumped upon this Thai restaurant which seemingly had pretty decent reviews. We decided to check it out really late at 8pm after classes on a Friday evening ( My campus is in Clementi :( )

The restaurant had a steady stream of customers even at 8pm and when we requested for a seat inside( with aircon), this service staff with blonde hair was rather impolite and frustrated but still gave in to our request. Okay. It was a bad start i have to admit.

They have both outdoor and indoor seating although indoors maybe rather limited.

Thai Milk Tea and Lemon Barley ( nothing fancy)

Thai Lemon Seabass w Broth. You add the broth as you go along. It was spicy, hot and brought me back to the roadside that we had this in Krabi. Ultimate pleaser!!

Sea Asparagus Tanghoon Salad. Cold and refreshing , a good appetizer,

Fried Kang Kong. One thing you have to know about me, i dont eat fried food unless really required so i was thinking of giving this a miss but i gave it a try and my god! It was crispy, hot and not soggy on the inside. Dipped with the sauce, it was really good.

Sauce for the Fried Kang Kong

Lala Beehoon with Clams. This was clearly the star of the show. The noodles reminded me of a good crab beehoon that is smooth and has all of the savoury broth from the clams. It was quite peppery and had too many shells of the clams imo but that doesnt make it any less unappealing cos this is clearly the must order in this restaurant.

BBQ Pork Neck. One of their bestsellers but it was mediocre in my opinion. A little on the dry side.

Overall their portions are huge!! This was for 3 pax but we were stuffed! We came back as 4 and took out the salad, bbq pork and we stuffed once again LOL. Worth for the money
