{2015} Trip to JB Series Part 2 : Soon Soon Heng Bak Kut Teh @ KSL

I am here with Part 2 of my JB Trip finally. School has finally started so i may take longer to post up everything that i want so please check them out when i post them! Meanwhile, check out my previous post @ http://comeontheroadwithme.blogspot.sg/2015/04/2015-trip-to-jb-series-part-1-ak.html!

Right opposite KSL mall which i was staying for the night. ( also tip if you wanna stay at KSL is not to book through Agoda. They place you at the D Resort which is their condo units instead of the Hotel which is a chore as you need to go through the mall and its very inconvenient in my opinion!!!

Interior. I went at 7plus at night so it was super busy. I got this picture after i finished my meal when it was less busy. Also you go to the counter to order first and they will allocate you a seat. A uncle tried to take the seat we were allocated but they were asked to leave as the guys at the shop gave us priority as we were already ordering! So go order first!! Also, the waiting is not long at all!

These are the add ons for the Bak Kut Teh do add the tau kee as it soaks up all the saltiness. And maybe some mushrooms too.

Braised Pig Trotters which were super soft and tender. Nice:)


Sesame oil chicken . The chicken was so tender and not dry at all. It seems all to be thigh meat but it is not fatty. It also had traces of cooking wine and tasted really traditional ( my mum say it) Totally delicious! I loved it!!! You can add pork liver to this as an add on and i think it makes it even better!!!

Bak Kut Teh. The soup is on the herbal side but it is salty without the tau kee so the tau kee is a must add! Also i wished this was more peppery but this did not taste peppery at all. i usually do not eat Bak Kut Teh cos i don't really fancy it. This soup is really different from what you would expect in Singapore! This was what my colleague at work ( a JB guy) told me as he recommended me this shop as he felt this was different from what you would expect in SG! Its true but i doubt i would return for the BKT. I love the chicken though. Also the BKT is according to portion. The portion is rather big so i think you can order 1 person lesser if you are ordering side dishes to go with it.  The meat was abit tough also:(

hello lovelies Today i am gonna introduce you guys to a place where you can breakfast if you are staying in the vicinity of Bukit Indah~~! This place has good seafood that i tried once ( in fact the entire row of shop houses sell pretty decent seafood!) In the morning this place has a wide variety of food to choose from ! Abalone noodles. Here there are individual stalls so do look carefully~!!! this was really good. The soup was super flavorful and there are so many ingredients such as kidney, prawns, one oyster, fish cake,abalone and vegetables. The bowl was full of ingredients!!The noodles are really smooth too!~~ Char Kuay Teow here reminds me of the famous one at Bedok~~ Nice~ This was the softest and smoothest chee cheong fan that i have ever eaten~!! Sliced fish mee hoon kuay. The mee hoon kuay is also good here!!!! {2015} Trip to JB Series Part 1 :Things to Eat @ City Square : AK Noodles House + Nyonya Kueh + Gong Cha

hello lovelies:) I am back from a hiatus due to work:( And i might be gone after this Trip to JB Series due to school:) Today i am gonna introduce to you AK Noodle House at City Square. This may seem like a ordinary shop selling halal style Chinese noodles but they are really good! They seem to be filled in the afternoon too so do try to go in the morning when it is calm and quiet! Its opposite Sticky! Located on Level 2                             I ordered Tom Yum Bee Hoon:))) Nice not too spicy and the noodles here are super super smooth( smoothest beehoon i have ever eaten!!!) Their fish soup here is also good. Paired together with the beehoon makes it a killer combo! Yong tau foo which is very popular among the crowd. I can understand why, it is fried till perfection and all the items are on point! Their prawn fish cakes and normal fish cakes are really good here!!!! {2015}Review of Kimchi Korean Restaurant @ Suntec!

helllo lovelies:) Today i am going to review Kimchi Korean Restaurant at Suntec City~ They are severely understaffed and nobody was manning the entrance when i visited. Staff was running all over the place trying to serve customers:/ Porridge. I believed i ordered the samyetjuk( chicken porridge) The porridge is grainy and is quite smooth. Worth a try i would say. The side plate  has soya sauce, ssamjang and ginseng powder. This is kurobuta samyeopsal( black pig ) this is famous in jeju:) the grill took quite long to heat up:/ but otherwise its is okay. The pork is very juicy and super delicious.                                Egg soup that comes with the samyeopsal:) kimchi doenjang jiggae. Not bad but it is not spicy:(   Kimchi ramen the noodles are really nicee:) but this tastes like shin ramen but it does contain seafood other than the stock powder. Nice:) Andong chicken.
