hello lovelies, Today im here to review my favourite chocolate cake ehheh. I had it once for my birthday probably 8 years ago( omg) and it has been etched into my memory forever since. It is at Jalan Kayu,at this shop called Jane's Cake Station. They have two types of cakes - Chocolate Cake & Durian Cake UUGGHHH look at this gloryyy. This is the 8inch one which costs $37( if i recall correctly).  The cake has this top layer  of chocolate fudge which is  the glossy layer of rich chocolate followed by chocolate cream and super light chocolate sponge. The chocolate here is not very sweet and slightly bitter ( as the cake is slightly sweet) The cake has a slight tinge of saltness compared to some who has a sweet taste overall. This cake is very rich and yet light( ahhaha i know how ironic). The chocolate fudge on top is velvety and rich but the cake is incredibly light so they match each other perfectly.. hello lovelies, here i am writing this post in 8am class cos i am itching to write this for a period of time already. Do note that my friend bought this for me as a treat. So we went to get this together. However, service was quite bad in my opinion as they took 30minutes to pack the cake although there was no one else. Also they guy at the cake counter was not very fluent in English. His halting English confused me abit. The ambience of the restaurant was really cozy and nice though.. The interior design was very unique. Notice the biscuit base. The cake at the top was rather moist but nothing special. Also the layer between the biscuit base and the cake is the layer of cherries soaked in rum. They are rather heavy handed with it and i feel that the taste of the whole cake is overwhelmed by how strong the alcohol is. The cake is nice on the whole however i would prefer Bakerzin's version of it as the version here has too much rum that it ruins the origi...

hello lovelies, I am back with Part 4! Today i am going to Review Moonlight Cafe as my colleague from Malaysia was flabbergasted when i revealed that i loved the cakes from Season and Lavender ( do check out them though when you head to JB cos the Chocolate cake from Lavender ( RM9) is awesome and the cookies from Season are super nice! Rich Chocolate Cake which was super rich and reminded me of my favorite chocolate cake from Jalan Kayu( nobody can beat that :() Not bad! Red Velvet Cake was good also! Matcha cake which was good as it looks. The cakes here don't disappoint as they come with quite hefty price tags ( compared to the cakes we see in cafes here in SG nowadays, this is definitely cheaper but still on the pricey end i would pay for a slice of cake) They have a wide variety to choose from!
