{miika's trip to Malaysia} Review of Jeju Korean Restaurant @ Aeon Bukit Indah

Image
Dear lovelies, I am back with a post! My dad was really keen to check out this Korean restaurant cos when we passed by the stretch during the Labour day holidays ( i know its a long time ago lol) there was a long queue to enter this restaurant. Really quiet on a Monday evening Amazing 15 set banchan. Some were good but some were really weird ( like the  tea leaf eggs??) Charcoal Grill Pancake that was like 80%flour. The egg was only on the surface.. Not really edible in my opinion. Pork shoulder. We had chicken bulgogi too but i didn't get a picture of that. The pork here is definitely frozen and super thick and tough. The chicken bulgogi was better marinated but it was so chunky that it was burning before it was cooked. Kimchi jiggae.  Very flavourful but it seemed more like tom yam soup than kimchi. Overall, don't scrimp on the money and go to Bornga at City Square for the real deal. The prices at Bornga may be pricier ...

{2015} Review of Chicken Up!~

Image
hello lovelies, I know i have not been writing recently although its the holidays for me. Working all day and reaching home around midnight does not give me any time nor energy to write anything. Since its a Saturday today and i have no work~, I shall write. Chicken Up came to Tampines a really long time ago and i tried it by getting takeaway instead of queueing lol. It was expensive for me compared to KFC or like any regular fried chicken as $12 would get you only 4 wings. But when we got home , it was still so crispy and the inside was still very juicy. OKay so one day my family was craving for Korean Fried Chicken and we decided to go down to try. Soba salad. Cold and refreshing and this honestly inspires me to go and make it on my own at home. Ganjang Wings( Soy sauce )Super Crispy and juicy on the inside. Sweet and sticky Wings It all depends on your preference i prefer the soy sauce flavoured ones while my mum...

{2015} Review of Bornga @ City Square!

Image
hello lovelies, Today I am going to review Bornga which i tried for the first time at city square when i visited Malaysia~~ I was told that the prices there are much cheaper than what we have here so whats to lose right? Menu They use charcoal for grilling meats Vegetables given. No sesame leaf given though Banchan~ Samyeopsal ( you must order at least two portions of meat ) Add on: Mushrooms Another form of samyeopsal, i believe this is seasoned. The samyeopsal here was good and tasted like what i would get in SG~ They will help you grill the meat~ Green onion pancake which was damn good :)) Kimchi jiggae which my father loved but i felt that it was pretty normal. Bul gae jang which was really special as it is normally made with beef ( but it was with chicken) this is really peppery and savoury and i really liked it. Both soups come with a bowl of rice. Overall, a ...
